LANCOME ‘Auda(CITY) in Paris’ eyeshadow palette and GIFT with purchase

While my man was busy at the Apple store, I ventured over to Nordstrom. I’d been looking at this AudaCITY in Paris palette by Lancome online for a while and walked over to the Lancome counter to check it our in person. And, after trying on some of the gorgeous eye shades, I found that it was a gift-with-purchase time and could not resist purchasing this item.

The cover of the palette is very slick and sophisticated in itself with a matte black cover design of all the famous monuments in Paris (Tour Eiffel, l’Arc De Triomphe, La Pyramide, Sacre-Coure, Notre Dame, Moulin Rouge, etc . . .) including giant high-heeled legs walking amongst them.

The colors selected for this palette are a fabulous combination of tones and shades, allowing for a grande multitude of possibilities.

Colors along the right side:

Filigree – golden shimmer

Choquette – light peach matte

Parfait – pale pink matte

Joie – light bronze shimmer

Voyage – light terracotta matte

Sante – warm golden matte

Exhibition – orchid shimmer

Zip Me Up – medium purple shimmer

Volcano – silvery taupe shimmer

Audacious – sable brown shimmer

Couture –  matte mink brown

“It” List – pure black matte

Colors along the left side: Kitten Heel – metallic pink/peach, Tenacity – medium metallic brown, Clock Strikes 12 – deep grey metallic and Nuit – grey/black metallic. A near perfect range of highly wearable hues.

The compact also includes a dual ended brush for applying these eyeshadows, with a flat brush end for lining eyes or applying color in saturation and a fluffy brush end for blending color out or applying broad strokes.

And, with this purchase, I qualified for a Lancome gift with purchase – yay! I got to choose between a black or navy cosmetics bag with contents based on a warm or cool makeup combination. I selected the navy bag with ‘cool‘ choices. (I noticed that if received from an online purchase, the gift bag contents were pre-selected in one of three combination choices on the Nordstrom site.)

I am very pleased with this purchase, especially since with the purchase of this expensive palette I was able to receive a gift of other Lancome products to try.
