BOXY CHARM November 2019 box
I recently started subscribing to Boxycharm after seeing what fabulous full size items they feature and finding out that you get 5 products for just $25. USD per month (cheaper if you select a subscription plan of three months or longer!). So, this is the first Boxycharm box I have received so far—Boxycharm for November:
And, these are the separate products I received (in no particular order):
- Dominique Cosmetics 8-eyeshadows Celestial Thunder Eye Shadow Palette
This palette is amazing! Such vibrant colors together with necessary neutrals, in shades of the universe.
- ETERNAL LIGHT—sheer champagne frost with silver micro-glitter
- FIREBALL—frosty, sparkling bright copper
- BLACK MATTER—cool matte (almost violet) black with violet/pink micro glitter
- ZERO GRAVITY—matte, cool dove grey
- LUCID DREAM—stunning, matte, deep fuchsia pink
- STORM DUST—dark, matte cedar brown
- LUNAR ECLIPSE—true matte orangey copper
- MYSTIC ICE—matte teal
This collection of colors is so versatile. The frosty shades will make any look just that much more extra. And, I love ETERNAL LIGHT because it looks great for a ‘barely there’ all over lid shade for when you don’t want to go heavy but also would work layered over any of the other shades. This is a first Dominique Cosmetics palette for me I know I’ll want more!
2. Juice Beauty Stem Cellular Anti Wrinkle Eye Treatment
Love receiving a treatment for the eye area (one of the first areas of facial skin to show age). And this product alone is worth $50.00! It’s certified organic, antioxidant-rich, and uses fruit stem cells along with Vitamin C to treat and care for the eye area.
The innovative applicator dispenses the product right from the tip and has a rounded surface with which to massage the product gently into skin. I like that it locks in moisture, works to alleviate fine lines, banish dark circles and includes powerful botanical juices.
3. DOSE OF COLORS Liquid Matte Lipstick in NUDE MOOD
Dose of Colors offers this lipstick formula in a ton of shades! The color I received, Nude Mood, is basically the same shade as my lips (maybe just a touch warmer hued). Dose of Colors says that Nude Mood is a pinky nude but I don’t see a lot of blue undertones. I feel like this selection basically disappears on me and would have preferred a tone that was a little bolder and a little cooler.
However I like the formula because it seems to have pretty good staying power. It sets fairly quickly after applied, although it can be a bit drying without a base coat of Blistex or other lip balm. And, it is definitely matte. I’d like to try the shade Play It Cool (a gray-ish mauve).
4. Cover FX Glitter Drops in Nova
Cover FX products are always great! Glitter drops feel weightless on the skin and are buildable, but one drop leaves skin with endless micro shimmer flecks. This is prefect for highlighting the face or topping-off eye color to create a ‘nude-but-better’ eyelid. It can alternatively be mixed with other face lotions/foundation for an added aura.
Nova is a liquid golden glitter that can be used anywhere on skin to play up your best features. It would look great on tanned shoulders and collar bone.
5. Tarte Park Avenue Princess chisel palette
This is my favorite product in this month’s box!
The golden alligator print of the lid is even gorgeous! Within there are six large pans of color: 2 for highlighting and 4 for contouring. And, even better is the fact that when you open the palette, the makeup smells of vanilla, making it a pleasure to use.
Two of the contour shades have a bit of sparkle: Carat and Crown. The other two are matte: Princess Cut and Angle. None of the colors are orangey and all of them are universal shades that should look good on pretty much any skin tone.
Besides these Items, I also received two face masks and a sample card of Pretty Vulgar Under Cover Lightweight Concealers. yay!
I’m loving this subscription box so far.
