FENTY BEAUTY Snow Nights lip set
I can’t say enough about the amazingly ultra-smooth texture and awesome staying power of Fenty Beauty by Rhianna’s Snow Nights lip trio!
First! THE packaging is so frosty. The three thin lip colors come nestled side-by-side in their thick metallic cardboard package. It is a dazzling little kit wrapped in a jacket with the same ‘frozen’ metallic print.
In sunlight, the whole thing shines iridescent. In lower light it is a lovely, multi-faceted pink and blue over silver.
The lid folds open to reveal the top of the three lipstick tubes within, each embossed on the top of the lid with ‘FB’ (for Fenty Beauty). (The top of each of the lipsticks is also embossed with FB until they wear down smooth from use.)
And the very top of the inside the packaging lid conceals a mini rectangular mirror, just big enough to allow discreet but flawless application of any of these lip colors.
I have found all three of the Snow Nights shades to go on as a sheer frosty layer that can be built-up. They don’t cake, crease or clump. And, they stay in place quite well! Each lipstick should easily last a half a day or at least until your next meal or coffee (and even then they may partially endure).
The lipstick tubes are a slick metallic ice blue that will look so fabulous coming out of your purse at the club or ski suit pocket on the slopes. Each petit lipstick is 1.9g/.065 oz.
All of these are metallic and kind of glittery although they are totally smooth and non-gritty.
The 3 cool colors:
- FOG SNOG—>frosted purple/grey
- FROST SAUCE—>rosy copper
- NO CHILL—>icy periwinkle blue
I snagged this set as soon as I saw it was on sale on the Sephora site! Regularly $39.00USD, Snow Nights is currently still on sale on Sephora for $25. and Fenty Beauty for $27. It seems Amazon also has it at a whopping $42.12 (but with free shipping if you have Prime). So, if you are interested in these seasonal lippies I would recommend you snap them up before they are gone (possibly for good).
application tip: Like always, I apply these over a layer of lip balm (preferably something with SPF if you are out playing in the snow) to keep lips smooth and moist. I usually pair these after an application of Blistex. And, I don’t find they need a lip liner because they stay put and have such a light texture. But, if you want to use a lip liner either a sheer silver or a nude will probably work well. For full-on, daring color, use a base of foundation or concealer too.
btw, in case you wondered, Fenty Beauty also offers a companion set of warm colors—Snow Daze. And, these are 100% cruelty-free with NO: parabens, sulfates or phthalates.
What products are your winter go-tos this season?
Wishing you warm nights and sparkling days. You go, Gorgeous!!! Love,
Jen
Which one is your favorite?
Hey there! Frost Sauce I think (it is probably also the least daring of the three, lol). It’s a fun set of colors.
These are really pretty! ❄❄❄
Right?!! And, different–a nice change from my usual lip colors. Thanks for visiting. xo, Jen
