TOO FACED Hangover 3-in-1 setting spray
I’m sure you’ve seen a ton of ads for #Hangover 3-in-1 Replenishing Primer and Setting Spray since it was introduced in early 2017. I recently ordered a travel size of this spray to try it out. It boasts the ability to be able to prime, set as well as refresh makeup, and revive tired skin.
I ordered this mini (1oz/30ml) spray from Sephora for $15.USD. With all the hype I had to try it. And, I love that it is cruelty-free, silicone-free, alcohol-free and oil-free. And, that it contains NO: parabens, sulfates or phthalates.
After using it every day for a week I did find that my skin seemed calmed and more moisturized than with other setting sprays. When I use it, I generally use it on bare skin first as a primer, as well as to set after my makeup is applied. That seems to be the best application.
Spraying it on before makeup so that it is in direct contact with a bare skin surface makes it more effective at keeping moisture levels high, and allows its probiotic ingredients to work best at keeping skin smooth and calm. You can be creative with the way you layer it, like adding bronzer and highlighter lastly over the top of your second application.
Coconut water is the key ingredient that helps skin stay moisturized, and gives the spray a pleasant scent. In combination with the probiotic aspect, it also has the benefit of boosting skin’s elasticity and smoothness. All of these healthy ingredients combine to brighten the complexion too.
To use: shake well, hold 6-8 inches from face and mist. My only issue with this spray is that the mist droplets are larger than I’d like and tend to leave my face a little wetter than other sprays until I give it has a chance to dry. I think the spray does not come out as finely as it should. But, holding it at least 8 inches away when misting seems to help in just catching the finest of the particles.
It can additionally be used to refresh makeup at any time during the day, and I do use it to refresh especially if I amp up my look for evening or do any touch-ups. But, otherwise it has helped my makeup to survive heat, sweat and my own skin’s oil production. It also keeps my skin matte.
So, overall I think this is a great choice, especially is you have problems with dry skin, and particularly for the summer months!
Please leave me a comment if you use Hangover spray to let me know what you think of it, or if you have any questions.
