WET N WILD Megalast Liquid Catsuit matte lipstick

I still remember the girls at my Junior High that used to wear iridescent pale pink Wet n Wild lipgloss. Since then, I must say, I haven’t really paid much attention to the brand. Recently, however, Wet n Wild has been upping their game quite a bit! Although still a low cost drug store brand, they have introduced a good number of new, really nice products. Starting in 2016, there have been fabulous introductions like their Photofocus Foundation, Cushion Illuminator, Metallic Liquid Eyeshadow (to name a few) and the subject of today’s post: Megalast Liquid Catsuit matte lipstick.

I recently picked up three colors of the matte Catsuit lipsticks (I bought one, then had to go back and get a couple more):

I selected two warm shades and one cool shade:

  • Rebel Rose 924B, a brown/pink medium nude

  • Give Me Mocha 925B, a deeper brown/pink nude with a bit more brown

  • Berry Recognize 926B, a dark purple/pink

It’s just a coincidence that the three I chose happen to be sequential in number order. They must be close in color family, which is why I was drawn to these shades. This particular lipstick comes in 26 colors, and, if you are bold you can go for one of these—Terrifying Tangerine, Purple Panic or Emerald City.

I am loving these for several reasons. First, they go on so smoothly and slickly but set completely. Secondly, they are highly pigmented. Third, they STAY on!

Although they ‘set’ pretty solidly to give them durability, and feel a little dryer in the process, they do not actually dry out the skin of your lips. Plus, even with really great staying power I was able to wipe them off completely with a tissue if need be (they don’t stain your lips either).

I’ve found the best way to apply them is to line your lips (as these can be hard to get exactly to the edge of lips with the applicator), apply a think layer of Blistex (or any other moisturizing lip treatment) and then put on the Liquid Catsuit color of choice.

I wear these over bare lips as well, but the extra steps make a difference.

Each tube of Liquid Catsuit comes with a unique tapered wand, with a tip that is designed to hug the curve of your lips while applying:

My experience is that that they really stay on, through food and drink even. Although, with the darker colors they can become a little splotchy so best to reapply the deep colors after appetizers or meals.

Here are some pictures with these on. They do have a similar hue, and vary slightly in different types of light of course.

These lipsticks run about $4.99 each in the US. You can find them at #wetnwildbeauty, as well as places like Target,  Ulta, Walmart and Walgreens.

I have a whole list of MORE colors I want to buy in the Liquid Catsuit of both matte and the cool metallic variety: Acai So Serious, Harbor A Crush, I Don’t Dessert You, Video Vixen, Goth Topic and Behind the Bleachers. These include a number of NEW colors available!

Way to go Wet n Wild. I’m in!

Have a gorgeous rest of your week!!! Thanks for stopping by. Leave me a comment if you have tried these and have an absolute favorite color.

Hi Carrie, Happy Holidays to you too!!! One of the best things I’ve found for helping prevent wrinkles from progressing is adding facial oils with retinoid oil to your regime. I love Sunday Riley’s LUNA Sleeping Night Oil applied to a freshly washed face before bed. A couple others that can be worn under moisturizer, sunscreen and makeup during the day are: Oglee’s Jojoba Restore Face Oil (very lightweight and absorbs quickly, you can find it on Amazon) and The Ordinary’s 100% Cold-Pressed Virgin Marula Oil. And, believe it or not, good old fashioned Pond’s Cold Cream will add a lot of moisture to face when used as a cleanser. I think if you incorporate some combination of these products, you will see a difference. To prevent any future damage, make sure you are wearing a moisturizer with SPF every day (regardless of how much time you will spend in the sun – if you are not already doing so) as prevention is always best!! Have a great day!
