JIMMY CHOO L’Eau – feminine & floral

I bought this eau de toilette a couple months ago after I had tried it on at Nordstrom and found it to be a lovely daytime scent.

And, I also thought that for those of you looking for a Mother’s Day gift for May 14th this year, or a light and fun scent for yourself for Spring and Summer, this may be just what you need to lift your spirits (or your mom’s) and get in the mood for warmer weather to come.

Jimmy Choo L’Eau is fabulous, without being overpowering. It’s a soft, fresh, fruity floral with an earthy complexity. Tropical hibiscus mingles with peony and the soothing scent of earthy barks, succulent fruits and woods. It’s feminine, without being the least bit powdery, or overwhelmingly floral.

I purchased this scent online from Macy’s while they were running a free gift of a pale pink clutch. This one is a 3oz eau d’toilette, Jimmy Choo L’Eau, and I purchased it for $98.00 USD (a definite splurge!). Unfortunately, when they sent it, they did not send the gift (even though it had been confirmed with the order). When I called Macy’s about it – they said they had run out. And, at that point offered to send me three smaller Jimmy Choo samples, below – which I accepted, and received later.

April and May, however, are a great time to buy women’s scents of any kind – because there are many packaged deals out there for upcoming Mother’s Day. I looked around online today and it appears that bothy Macys and Nordstrom have similar offers of a 3oz bottle that comes with a rollerball purse spray and body lotion, for not much more that what I paid for the perfume alone. Ultra also sells Jimmy Choo L’Eau, but doesn’t currently have a set for sale.

Jimmy Choo L’Eau comes in a delicately beautiful oblong glass bottle with a design that is inspired by Venetian Murano Glass.  The bottle itself is oh so finely laquered a faint pink.

Fragrance notes:

top – bergamot, hibiscus & pink peony

middle – nectarine

base – musk & cedar wood

This is my new ‘go-to’ scent for warmer weather. Love its fresh floral and green notes!
