#KylieCosmetics Royal Peach Palette and KyShadow Palette

The Royal Peach Palette was debuted in January 2017 and sold out very quickly, that first day! Although it became available again, this has happened with several of Kylie Jenner’s recent cosmetics releases. This palette is HOT!:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Most of the colors are in the same family of tone – peach. However, there are a few outliers, like the frosty violet and the moss green, AND, most notably the matte royal blue. All of these ‘odd’ colors, are coincidentally in the center of the palette.

The picture of eyes on the box for this palette shows that the blue can make a statement lower lash line liner. Since blue is known to help cause the whites of your eyes look even whiter, it is a nice pop of color. BTW – orange is complimentary on the color wheel to blue – so this is a well thought-out set.

This collection is hefty – a full 12 pans of color! And, it pleasantly features a full-size white bristled eyeshadow brush, as well as a large rectangular mirror in the inside of its lid.

I’ve seen that there was some initial uproar by a few about the actual smell of this palette/shadows and that the palette was causing headaches for some. Although the packaging or shadows do have a chemically smell, I don’t find it to be overwhelming. Kylie Cosmetics responded to gripes explaining that the odor actually comes from adhesives used to put the palette together.

Kylie’s 2016 holiday selections were little black dress worthy! Her limited edition The Holiday 2016 Palette featured 9 jewel-toned Kyshadow shades of eye color, with pans just slightly smaller than those in the Royal Peach Palette. The outside edges are roughly 8″ x 3.5″.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Perfect for holiday parties or a night out on the town, these shades include a very nice range of light and dark with 5 frosty colors and 4 matte, which are advertised to contain diamond powder. I found that to get the best color payoff, definitely wear these with a primer (which will also help them stay on ALL NIGHT). Sugar Cookie – matte nude/bisque (highlight or lid)

Frosty – metallic silver (lid or liner)

Chestnut – matte mauve beige (crease)

Mittens – frosty greyish plum (lash line)

Winter – frosty black blue (bold lid or liner)

Nutcracker – frosty medium purple (lid)

Gingerbread – frost warm burnished copper (crease or lid)

Evergreen – matte deep cool green (multi-use) – very good color payoff

Silent Night – matte blackish purple (smoky eyes) – also very good color payoff

With this palette I purchased one other item from Kylie’s holiday collection: a creme eyeshadow in the color Golden Plum:

The sheen on this deep mauve/purple eyeshadow is lovely.

I usually apply it with my fingertip and blend it our for an all-over lid color. Its hue is deep enough for evening, and it sparkles enchantingly with flecks of sliver and burgundy in the sunlight during the day.
