#IPSY MUCH LOVE – IPSY Glam Bag February 2017

What squad goals are made of

– is what the postcard with this February’s Glam Bag says.

The bag this month is denim, featuring an orange zipper with orange Ipsy lips as the pull. Its all about staying-in with your girl squad – much love!

–> Luna by Luna highlighter in Calypso

This highlighter is delightfully versatile. It wakes up the face with just the right amount of highlight. Even though the color Calypso looks very lavender in the package, this pale, shimmery mauve color goes on ultra-sheer for a subtle highlight. The color is actually a perfect mix of cool and warm purple tones that only appear as a hint of color on the skin, and would look great on any skin tone. The shimmer is also almost undetectable – just enough to give skin a healthy, faintly dewy sheen.

You might be quick to disregard this lipstick because of the NYX lower-end brand name, but the texture of these Butter Lipsticks are divine. It goes on so creamy, and is matte with just a bit of shine. Lips feel cushioned in moisture because of the thickness of this lipstick. And, the Ripe Berry shade has just the right amount of color to be totally wearable as a day shade. I’ll admit I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this lip color. Other subscribers may have received the color Lifeguard – a subtle red.

Although the size of this sample is somewhat laughable (0.7g/0.02oz), it’s a very natural bronzer. I found that I had to use a fat-bristled eye brush with this bronzer because it is so tiny. I applied the matte bronze color to the sides of my nose and at the hairline to warm up my overall skin tone. This brown has no shimmer or shine (or orange hue), so it looks completely natural. And, its texture is very fine so it applies silky smooth.

Areas of your face that need special care – eyes and lips, are both treated with this multi-tasking cream. It comes out of the tube a thick white, but blends easily to provide skin with extra moisture. It smells faintly like spruce to me, reminiscent of its natural and plant ingredients like: Eyebright, Fennel, Bilberry and Frankincense.

I always like getting full-size makeup brushes in my bag! This one has a pretty light pink handle and pink-tipped dome bristles that are also vegan, synthetic and cruelty-free. Although it’s designed for blush, I found that it works quite well to put on the Luna highlighter that I also received this month. The bristles are very soft and flex easily, for gentle product application.

Overall – a very nice little haul this month.
