LOVE the Ipsy Rockstarlette Glam Bag for November 2016! I will be using ALL of the products I received.
The cute navy ‘makeup’ constellation bag, with a silver star zipper pull, is perfect to pop in your gym bag with a few cosmetics essentials. It also feels like it has a very thin piece of foam in the fabric, so it’s a bit cushy. Other subscribers might have received the same bag with gold detailing – their other version. Silver is perfect for me!
These are the items in my Glam Bag for November:
- tarte – Maracuja Oil
- MODEL co – contour stick
- SLMissGlam – W20 angled eye brush
- Elemis – Pro-Collagen Marine Cream
- Too Faced – Better Than Sex mascara
There were 2 makeup items in my bag this month, a mascara and contour stick:
I hadn’t heard of MODEL Co before, and was a little disappointed that the contour stick product did not have a color name (it must just come in one color – kindof a medium tan). And, to be honest, when I first saw it I thought it must be a lip pencil because the packaging was pink! However, this shade glides on your face with its very soft formula that also blends super easily. I used it with a line drawn and blended along the base of my cheeks, just under the cheek bone, and along the sides of my nose. It has a sweet candy smell and doesn’t go on too heavy.
The Better Than Sex mascara I had tried before. Always nice to get a small mascara for travel! It has an hourglass shaped brush and dense bristles that make a big difference in lashes with just one swipe. With a collagen-infused base it makes lashes fuller, longer and blacker. Its polymer film coating makes it smudge proof too. An all-around great mascara!
I also received 2 skin care products, the marine cream and Maracuja Oil:
I’m always a little wary of oils, remembering past battles with breakouts, but you only need to use a few drops of the Maracuja Oil. And, it absorbs completely! with NO shine. The cool bottle has a gold button on the lid that you press in to have the applicator fill with oil, then if you take the lid off and press the button again it releases the oil. Tarte recommends warming 2-3 drops in hands by rubbing them together, then it can be applied to face and neck. Vitamin C and repairing fatty acids soothe skin. It has multiple uses too – cuticles, makeup remover, flyaway hair, moisture for any rough spots . . .
Elemis’s Pro-Collagen Marine Cream is luxurious. An anti-wrinkle/anti-ageing moisturizer, its billed as a day cream. I am more inclined to use it at night though, because it does not include any SPF. But, it could also be applied under a sunscreen. This thick cream feels great on the skin and is very hydrating – plumps skin showing signs of beginning creases. Mediterranean sea algae is a key ingredient in this cream to ensure moisture retention. Mimosa soothes skin and rose calms any redness or acne.
I always like to get makeup brushes, and that was the final item in my Glam Bag this month. Created by SLMissGlam (fellow blogger Miss Glam). So pretty with its pink-tipped white bristles, and sooo glam with the 2 inset rhinestones in the gold brush casing. This brush is both soft and packed with bristles, as well as ultra soft. Fabulous brush for eyeshadow!
Because Ipsy allows subscribers to re-take the survey that determines which products they send you every month, how ever many times you want, you can always refine your subscription. I think the mix that I am getting now is perfect for me!
Hope you are having a fun week! Possibly out and about shopping for Christmas or holiday decor and gifts this weekend?
