GLAMAZON—IPSY Glam Bag September 2016
I know! We’re already into October – but didn’t want you to miss seeing my September IPSY Glam Bag items.
Hopefully everyone is enjoying the cooler weather, pumpkin spiced lattes (of course!), and the changing of the seasons. For those of you who just headed back to school, I hope the year is off to great start with football games and catching-up with fellow students about summer jobs, vacations, loves and adventures. 😉
GLAMAZON is the theme for this bag – ‘Too glam to give a damn.’
The postcard that comes with the bag for September says, “We’re through with lazy beauty.” The focus is on glam makeup, high maintenance beauty, full-on skincare before bedtime, and lots of primping. Gone are the makeup-free, sun filled days of summer.
The front of the little black bag for the month depicts four girls spelling out IPSY with their arms.
The design is mainly gold and white on a silver/black background. The zipper is also gold, to match. And, the girls are all wearing white mini dresses.
These are the items I received (based on results from the survey I took when I signed up – which IPSY subscribers can re-take at any time if they find that they are not receiving items they like):
- BELLAPIERRE COSMETICS Mineral Blush in Autumn Glow (MB002) – my one full-sized item
This blush has 3 other shades available on the bellapierre site, at $45.00 USD each.
The Autumn Glow shade is a warm, matte beige/bronze – perfect for fall.
This product is talc-free, paraben-free, non-comedogenic and, although its a powder, it has a creamy texture. All with just three ingredients: Mica, Titanium Dioxide and Iron Oxides.
The packaging features a ‘Twist-and-Lock Sifter Jar” to ensure it stays closed when stowed.
Although the color is a bit warm for my skin tone, its light enough to just warm the skin without being overbearing.
- ONOMIE Powerful Priming Solution
Onomie’s serum serves as a priming solution (to set makeup), skin tone corrector and radiance booster. This lightweight serum also gently exfoliates and reduces pore size. It comes out of the tube a milky off-white but is clear on the skin.
It is fragrance-free, paraben-free, alcohol-free and phalate-free.
I look forward to putting this multi-tasker to the test over a series of days.
- RODIAL Dragon’s Blood Hyaluronic Tonic toner
Not to worry – I’m sure that no dragons were harmed in the making of this soothing toner. 🙂
The tiny spray bottle that for this rehydrating toner comes in, makes it easy and quick to apply. It can be used to freshen makeup mid-day or directly hydrate freshly washed facial skin in the evening.
It is also okay for sensitive or oily skin (which my skin tends to be). I’ve found that it has a very, very slight sweet scent.
Full-sized bottles cost around $50.00 USD on the Rodial site, and come with options for auto replenishing shipments.
- TOO FACED Lip Injection Extreme lip plumper
This serum/gloss is designed to instantly plump lips up as well as provide nourishing hydration. The product is slightly irridescent in color and fairly thick in texture. It can be used a.m. and evening for fuller lips, with the warning that it may cause a slight tingle for 5-10 minutes after application, including advice to only apply it within the perimeter of lips to avoid any temporary redness on the skin around lips.
Some of the ingredients that contribute to its “turbo power supreme plumping” abilities are: Collagen-friendly MaxiLip and Dehydrated Marine Sponge (that stimulates blood flow). Moisturizers include: avacado oil, jojoba oil, as well as mineral oil.
My lips tingled for a few minutes after application but that sensation went away entirely, and my lips did seem to plump a bit.
Too Faced recommends wearing this serum under lipstick, as it has to be in contact with bare lips to have its full effect.
I usually love getting a variety of makeup items in these samples, but I am happy to try some products are are entirely new to me (like the spray tonic).
Hope you enjoyed seeing what I received from IPSY for September.
Go gorgeous!!!
xo,
Jennifer
