URBAN DECAY Urban Spectrum Eyeshadow Palette

URBAN SPECTRUM eyeshadow palette by Urban Decay is a Sephora exclusive. That means, the Urban Spectrum Eyeshadow Palette a limited edition offering!

I just received it in the mail this week. And, well, just the packaging is kind-of a BIG DEAL!

When you open the black box, you’ll realize this palette is special based solely upon the stunning lazer-cut logo in the center of the palette lid. The  sides of the lid have a cut-out filigree design and the UD logo is displayed in the center in a gorgeous, clear and faceted smokey green/grey. The palette comes with a small piece of white foam covering the logo in the lid, with the UD punched out, to protect the edges of the logo.

Upon lifting off the lid, the dazzlingly exquisite jewel tones of the eyeshadows may cause a gasp! Fifteen 0.05 oz shades have been selected for this collection:

• 4 are traditional UD bestsellers
• 6 have appeared in past palettes Book of Shadows, The Vice Palette or Vice 2
• Others are debuting shades – that I hope we will see again!

All contain Urban Decay’s trademarked Pigment Infusion System blend of ingredients that ensure a smooth texture, vivid jewel-toned colors and lasting wear.

Top Row: PROTEST (warm moss green), JUNKIE (sparkly emerald), DEEP END (deep aqua shimmer)

2nd Row: MADNESS (sparkly turquoise blue), EVIDENCE (dark sapphire), PRANK (navy with green shimmer)

3rd Row: OMEN (lavender with blue shift), FLASHBACK (amethyst with pink sparkle), VOODOO (micro-glitter cool purple

4th Row: FLATLINE (soft pink frost), BORDELLO (medium warm beige pink), BACKLASH (bright fuchsia with orange shift)

5th Row: DAYBREAK (warm beige with silver sparkle), BURN (muted medium brown shimmer), WEST (tobacco brown frost)

This palette was rated almost a full 5 stars on the Sephora site. The only complaints I saw were about the lack of matte shades and that the palette did not travel well because the lid does not close securely (but rather sits on the top of the lower tray).

I LOVE this palette due to its lovely range of exquisite shades. And, once you are finished with the eyeshadows, one corner of the palette has a gap in the corner so that the top tray can be lifted out. The inside of the palette box is lined in black velvet, and then becomes a collectable jewelry box that can be used to hold your treasures (jewels, sacred momentos, love notes, etc.).

All the eyeshadows blend beautifully, and they wash off cleanly with soap and water. The selection of bold, glittery colors allows for the creation of limitless drama!
