THE BALM Nude’tude Eyeshadow Palette

I received this eyeshadow palette as a gift. I really like its variety of matte and frost shades, in neutral (nude) tones. It’s the first item I have from The Balm Cosmetics. The Balm Nude’tude Eyeshadow palette features a range of neutrals.

This palette has a total total of 12 rectangular trays of neutral/nude eyeshadow colors. The pans of color are strategically placed over sensitive parts of drawings of ‘nude’ girls within the palette.

The palette is fairly thin in depth, has a magnetic closure, includes a mirror that spans the inside of the lid, and includes a very small dome-ended applicator brush.

The colors are:

top row – Sassy (frosty white), Stubborn (medium pink frost), Selfish (sparkling taupe), Sophisticated (deep red/brown with pink sparkles), Sexy (matte burgandy), Serious (matte jet black)

lower row – Snobby (frosty light gold), Stand-offish (glittering light pink), Sultry (matte medium brown/bronze), Seductive (frost medium brown), Silly (glittery deep wine brown) and Sleek (matte dark brown).

I find that this palette has a more distinct range of light and dark colors than the Naked palettes (and is less expensive), and have enjoyed creating looks with the shades. The only drawback being some eyeshadow fall-out – so I always wear these with a lid primer.

The darker colors (Sexy, Serious or Sleek) can be applied with a damp, small fine-tipped brush as eyeliner. I’ve had good results with using Sexy or Sultry as lid crease colors, Silly on the outer corner of the lid and stamped in the lash line, Seductive or Standoffish on the lid and Standoffish or Sassy to highlight the tear duct area. All of these shades (even the dark ones) can be easily blended-out to create softer daytime looks.

xo,

Jen

Yes, I really like these nude shadows that include a burgundy and some pink/peach shades for a little more variety.
