IPSY August 2015 GLAM Bag

Hello Gorgeous! Today I am reviewing my FIRST-ever ipsy Glam Bag for August 2015. My personalized ipsy makeup selections arrived in a metallic, bright-pink shipping package.

After reading a couple online raves, I decided to sign-up for this monthly beauty sample program. The program is very tailored—as when you sign-up, the type of bag and samples you receive are determined by an online quiz about your favorite types of beauty products, skin type and color faves.

Each monthly bag costs $10.00 USD with free shipping and includes 4-5 deluxe samples including a full-sized beauty product, plus a cute cosmetics bag! Right after I signed-up I told my sister about it and she signed up too! So, I intend to add what she receives to my monthly unveiling so you can see a wider variety of products.

The August ipsy Glam Bag has a fun Prep School theme! The small bag features a slick houndstooth black and white pattern and pink zipper. Makes me smile, with the reminder of the movie #Clueless.

The products I received are:

*HIKARI COSMETICS Lip Gloss in Merlot, 4.6 g/.16 oz, hikaricosmetics.com

I love this intense red-mauve gloss in Merlot. (other subscribers may have received this product in the color Salsa.)

It is high-shine, is very pigmented and matte, and has a thick-enough texture to have serious staying power.

*STARLOOKS Luxe Waterproof Eyeliner in Navy Seal , 0.2 oz

A long-wear eyeliner felt-tipped pen allows for smooth and even (with no-tug) application of eyes. The color applies evenly and dries quickly.

*TRUST FUND BEAUTY in Elegantly Wasted, 1.5 ml/0.50 oz

Elegantly Wasted is a lovely matte, pale grey/lavender nail polish.

It’s quick-drying, chip resistant, non-toxic and cruelty-free. I was very happy to receive this color. A lovely shade that is not too bright for day muted enough to look elegant.

*BRIOGEO BlOSSOM & BLOOM hair spray for long-term thickness, 1.0 fl

and lastly:

*LATHER Ultra Mild Face Wash, 1.0 fl oz

The ingredients for this hair thickening spray include maltodextrin and natural sugar starch, with lemon and witch hazel extract to dissolve excess oil. Works for my hair!

Ginger is also key to stimulate the scalp and support natural blood flow around hair follicles.

Plus, it’s cruelty-free and vegan-friendly. This foaming face wash is very mild and gentle on skin. It includes surfactants, botanical extract, sulfate and is paraben free.
