TARTE Tartelette Amazonian Clay Matte Palette

Love this new tartelette palette! that I received in the mail from Sephora this week – just in time for Valentine’s Day! Always on the quest for new eye colors, I couldn’t resist this lovely natural palette. I have noticed several sets offered from a variety of retailers with Tarte products that include this palette, and are good values – however I bought this palette on its own. I also picked up a makeup brushes set that was on sale and received some fun samples of other products (pictures of those items also included in this post).

All 12 eyeshades are never-seen-before matte, clay-infused, longwear colors. They blend together easily and allow for endless classic, natural looks. Colors within:

  • Free Spirit – cream
  • Force of Nature – medium nude
  • Dreamer – warm darker brown
  • Multi-Tasker – deep cool brown
  • Caregiver – pale cool pink
  • Natural Beauty – mauvish warm taupe
  • Best Friend – deep mulberry
  • Bombshell – dark plum brown
  • Super Mom – fair nude
  • Wanderer – light tan
  • Power Player – medium grey-taupe
  • Fashionista – true black

Today I wore these colors in a medium-dark day look: Best Friend as a crease color with a light application, Bombshell as an eyeliner color heavier on the top lash line and a combo of Force of Nature more center-lid and Natural Beauty on the rest of the lid. I’m very pleased with this set. I may use it in the future with a pale glittery beige on the lid to create a more dramatic effect.

  • 1.50g/0.053oz each shadow tray
  • made in USA
  • no paragons, mineral oil, gluten, phthalates or sodium
  • dermatologist tested

I also picked up a Sephora brush set that was on sale. The case is slightly gold and the brushes have cream handles.

The five natural/synthetic combination fiber brushes are: 1. all-over shadow brush, 2. small shadow brush, 3. angled shadow brush, 4. rounded crease brush and 5. flat liner brush. These are a nice size with handles at 6.25 inches each up to where they meet the bristles. They work well in both cream and powder shadows.

And, as usual, selected free samples were included. I chose three scent samples – two for my Valentine and one for me, a Mark Jacobs lipstick sample in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (very rosy mauve), Make Up For Ever Smoky Extra mascara, an eye makeup remover and Murad Age-Diffusing Serum. All in all, a pretty good order!
