TRISH MCEVOY 2014 Holiday
During December I attended two Trish McEvoy events at the nearby Nordstrom store (I purchased two new products at each), and received a lovely set of Trish cosmetics from my husband for Chistmas – I am combining all these items for this blog. The cosmetics department had a beauty event the first of the month that I attended with my sister, and the second was a private Trish master class that was attended by myself with about seven other ladies. I learned some handy tips at the class too!
Dec 1 Trish McEvoy event:
- Essential Pencil (lips), Plum Brown, #10
- Luminous Pearls Eye Shadow, Crystal
Love this lip pencil, it stays on well and is a medium neutral plum shade that goes well with the olive undertones in my skin – works fabulously for day or night. I don’t have another product like the Luminous Pearls in Crystal, it makes any eye makeup party ready with its sheer base and millions of micro sparkles – I smooth it on with my finger tip over eyeshadow.
Dec 14 Trish McEvoy show:
- Brow Shaper, Natural
- Beauty Booster Cream SPF 30
The brow shaper is a makeup staple for defining brows. I am not always diligent in wearing color in my eyebrows, but with blond hair (and especially if I’m wearing bold makeup) it’s nice to have the extra brow definition. The beauty booster cream is a skin saver, particularly with its SPF30. It comes out of the pump white but goes on sheer and is super hydrating, a great primer that also diminishes any look of fatigue. It can be worn over eye serum, before foundation. It’s a bit pricy, but after trying it once I saw real benefits.
I was happy to learn that Trish recommends that her gel eyeliner (which glides on very easily) should be applied by wiggling the tip of the pencil between your lashes. This ensures that it goes on in with a more natural look – because of the gel base it does not look good drawn on as a line above the lashes like traditional liners (turns out way too dark). This eyeliner stays on all day and can be worn light or heavier for more intensity. Great product!
Dec 25 gift:
- Enchanting Eyes Collection from the Trish McEvoy website
This is a set that I had requested for Christmas and my husband was nice enough to purchase it for me! It also came with some very nice bonus items that I appreciated receiving. The Enchanted Eye Collection included these full-sized items: Luminous Pearls Eye Shadow in Plum (not as sparkly as the Crystal color but with more base color), Intense Gel Eye Liner in Deep Aubergine (a plum brown), and High Volume Mascara in Jet Black. The bonus items were a sample of Sexy 9 Blackberry and Vanilla Musk, a small Beauty Booster Eye Serum, Flawless Lip Color in Temptation and an Intense Gel Eye Liner in Black.
With all of these products I have many new looks to try!
