ELF Mini Makeup Collection – festive
This small square black box holds a ton of color options. Although just under 4″ from side to side, and just over 1″ deep, this kit features 10 lipgloss colors, 10 eyeshadows, 1 blush, 1 bronzer, 1 brow powder, 1 eyeliner pencil, 1 eyeshadow applicator, 1 small face brush and 1 tiny lip brush. My primary motivation to pick up this item was its price – usually $15.00, I got this for $7.50 on sale. ELF may not make the highest quality products, but this mini set will be great to toss in my bag when traveling – it includes everything except the mascara.
When first opened, the top and second shelves in this set contain eyeshadow on the left and lip glosses on the right. The lowest section holds the applicators and brow powder on one side and blush and bronzer on the other side. The lid opens up to contain a good-sized mirror that spans the width of the top of the case.
I like all of the eyeshadow colors in this, the Festive Collection. Each of the eye colors seem to go well with my hazel eyes, and the one cream eyeshadow works well as a base for the other colors (although I still use an eye primer with these to stave off any fallout). Brow powder was a real bonus, gives brows just the right amount of definition. I’ve used the navy color as a liner, the green as an outer corner of the lid color and one of the medium browns lightly as a crease color to nice effect. The pink blush is fairly bright, but can be easily toned down with a tissue or very faint application. Overall, especially with such a low price tag, I am pleased with this set.
