Go Green! Guerlain LES VERTS palette – with new swatch photos

I’d been eyeing these Erin 4 Couleurs palettes for a little while, deciding if I wanted to make the $60.00 investment. Ended up buying the 03 Les Verts colors. Never having used Guerlain but once before, I hoped it would be worth its price, which it is proving to be. I found that 11 different combinations of four complimentary powder eyeshadow colors were offered for this palette. I decided on this particular one mostly because of its natural-looking greens, but also because it contained some nice neutrals and enough variety to have a liner color, highlighting color, crease color and lid color. The shiny gold metallic case is sexy and smooth, fits easily in the palm of my hand at roughly 3″ x 2.5″ in size. Each of these color sets come with a matte shade, iridescent hue, satin color and metallic.

Although I usually ALWAYS wear a lid primer with eyeshadows, I tried this one without, and they hold on remarkably well – I notice virtually no difference at the end of the day than when I first applied, with no fallout. Remarkably, it also removes easily with soap and water. The color pay-off is very good, and the colors blend well. The combinations must be endless, even with just four colors, because they all go together so nicely and offer different eyeshadow characteristics to play-up. The shades are lovely, not garish or glittery in the least. I want to purchase the 08 Les Perles set next, with its pale brown/grey, rich velvety brown, soft cream and pink pearl. I look forward to experimenting with these more, in the meantime.
