KAT VON D Painted Love Lipstick – Hellbent (red)

Loving Kat’s colors lately, and having a Sephora gift card from my credit card’s reward program, I had to get another Kat Von D lipstick. This time in red! The tubes for the painted love lipsticks are clear (lucite) on the bottom so it is easy to see which color you are selecting from your makeup bag. These lipsticks contain Hydrogenated Polydecene for long wear, and vitamins A, C and E for anti-aging/antioxidants. They go on smoothly with huge color payoff and come in a variety of bold and toned-down color selections. I already have this lipstick in Cathedral, and love that color for daytime wear, so wanted to try Hellbent for a true red.

This slightly blue red goes well with my fair skin and hazel eyes, but would look great on most women because of its classic color. The box is printed with the quote – “The perfect red lip screams confidence.” I bought a Sephora red lipliner the same day I bought this lipstick, and generally wear the two together. Hellbent is matte, and even though it has proven to be very long-wearing it glides on easily and does not dry out my lips. Also, love the silver outlined rose design on the case. Also want to try her lipstick in these colors – lolita and prayer.
