NYX – Nude on Nude eye and lip palette

This one is a blockbuster, packing a full 20 eyeshadows and 10 lip colors! The palette is not too terribly large – 6.75″ x 2.75″ x 1″, but it certainly holds quite a selection, with a mirror and two applicators. For a neutral palette the eye shadows are nicely varied and can definitely compete with other nude palettes. The NYX site says “these will work for every skin tone,” which I feel is accurate. I love the selection of both warm and cool choices. Seven of the trays are mattes, the rest are frosts or sparkly. There is some fallout with the more sparkly colors, as can reasonably be expected, so best to use with a lid primer (as usual). However, the real draw is the price! At $25.00, it was an easy decision to purchase this and one I am happy I made. I’ve found that these are sold by NYX, Nordstrom (both at $25.00) and Ulta (at $24.99), at least.

Because of the vast variety, this will work well as the one palette you bring on summer vacation for all the looks you’ll need. Its hard to know which eyeshadows to wear first, however they all blend well together – so you can’t really mess up with any color combination. A tray below the eyeshadows opens to hold 10 lip colors or lip glosses, designed to compliment neutral eye makeup. Both daytime and evening looks can be accomplished with this palette. I still have more color combos to try out but love the eye ensembles I’ve tried so far. The glosses are nice, but the eyeshadows are stunning! A real value set.
